George Gallup was a former president of the Council for National Policy

Mon Aug 04, 2008 at 07:04:44 AM PDT

and The Pew Charitable Trust has given sizable grants to a publication called Christianity Today.

http://watch.pair.com/...

I had done research on George Gallup years ago and discovered that he was affiliated with the Council for National Policy..which is a hard right organization founded by Paul Weyrich, Richard Viguerey and Richard De Vos .. the founder of Amway whose daughter is married to Blackwater CEO Eric Prince..The Council for National Policy funded Jerry Falwell and the Moral Majority in the early 1980's as well as Pat Robertson and Reverend Sun Myung Moon.

I do not regard the polls as a good measure of what is happening in this election.  There is way too much happening that the polls can't measure.  There is no way for them to really measure the impact of internet on this campaign unless you examine the money contributions to Obama and McCain by ZIPCODE.

Corporate Media..thank you for making me angry today

Fri Aug 01, 2008 at 03:10:46 PM PDT

I just sent Obama another $100.00...this should be a wonderful month..August..because Corporate Media, you have made so many people so very angry...

You insist on recreating history or erasing history altogether..I am not going to allow you to do further harm to this nation..I support Obama..millions of people support Obama and to show you how much we support Obama, despite the polls..we send him money and those are the polls we can judge this campaign by in real terms for ourselves..

What matters is that we are at Obama's back

as he is being baraged with negativity..he can rise above it.. we can rise above it also if we stay strong..

Curitiba, Brazil is a model for the world

Mon Jul 14, 2008 at 09:48:31 AM PDT

Saturday night at Queen Anne Manor, the Queen Anne Movie Guild in Seattle featured a wonderful film called, A Convenient Truth, Urban Solutions From Curitiba, Brazil.

http://www.seattleweekly.com/...

This wonderful city in Brazil has been planning for this current energy crisis for 35 years. Curitiba was planning for its future and growth in a way that made the city work for people.

During the Nixon Administration, Brazil began to develop ethanol run cars.  The banks loaned Brazil money, and then the interest rates went skyhigh.  Brazil went through an economic crisis a shock. Of course the World Bank stepped in:

http://www.geocities.com/...

Argentina has recently gone through economic shocks also and rejected "assistance" from the World Bank.  We are about to go through the same sort of economic shock soon.  We can panic or see this as an opportunity to do things differently, to seize the economy for the people not the corporations, to change the way we are in the world for the better...

Every time you hear someone say they won't vote for Obama .. register someone to vote who will vote

Mon Jun 09, 2008 at 07:52:32 AM PDT

for Obama...

Yesterday, I was listening to NPR and someone at the Hillary Clinton rally Saturday said they would not vote for Barack Obama.  Yesterday, I met my first person who would not vote for Barack Obama .. that was a person I was with in Kirkland, WA .. so they may be more comfortable people..and Republican..still stuck on the selfish tax meme..that was her excuse.."he will raise my taxes.." .. so some people are stuck there and we won't be able to get them unstuck by November..that is ok..

What I am proposing is that if you have the time and inclination..every time you hear someone who says they won't vote for Barack Obama..use that event .. just hearing those words..to go out and register people who may not have voted in a long time..or who have moved..or become new citizens ..like my husband..and register them to vote..  In the fall, we will have so many new citizens registered to vote, that they will overwhelm the numbers you hear on a daily basis who say they won't vote for Barack Obama...

Hardcore Feminists Should Infiltrate the Republican Party

Mon Jun 02, 2008 at 05:58:42 AM PDT

There has been alot of discussion about hardcore feminists and Hillary supporters who are saying they are going to vote for McCain this year.  I would like them to take this a step further and register Republican and whole heartedly join the Republican Party for the purpose of bringing the Republican Party back to a more rational position.  I believe the Republican Party is controlled by radical right wingers who would overturn Roe v. Wade in a heartbeat.  There are even some in the Republican Party who believe that abortion should be criminalized.

There are those in the Repubican Party who believe that the mighty United States Military should be used to conquer the entire world..to bring about a Pax Americana..a new Roman Empire but with WalMarts..

There are Republicans who believe that everyone in this country should only speak English..because by golly..we are English speakers.

Happy Memorial Day..I miss my brother

Mon May 26, 2008 at 01:48:00 PM PDT

My brother was a folk singer in the early 1960's.  He saw Bob Dylan in New York early on.  He died a few years ago.  I miss his guitar playing..I miss his sense of humor that could double me over in convulsive laughter.  I miss his intelligence..

He lived in rural Maine.  There weren't alot of doctors in the area.  He was feeling tired and thought it was age.  It was cancer.  He died three months after he was diagnosed.  That is what happens to alot of us now.. we die when we get sick..no hospitals for us or doctors or good treatment..we simply die..

I miss my brother.  I miss my mom and my dad.  They were interesting people.  Bohemians in the early San Francisco 1950's and that was before the big buildings came to dominate the skyline.  They were artistic people and those sorts of people are not welcome so much anymore.

My mother loved the Kennedys.  She would be particularly saddened by Teddy's health challenges of late.  I love the Kennedys..all of them, even the ones supporting Hillary. Let us hope we can all come together.  There is so much at stake.

Why is Hillary really running???

Mon May 05, 2008 at 08:03:01 AM PDT

I have begun to really wonder why Hillary is running?  Who is behind her and why is there a desparation to see to it that she is in the White House..?

Yesterday, a friend sent an e-mail with an article in this month's Vanity Fair about the giant agricultural concern Monsanto..

Full article:

http://www.vanityfair.com/...

The article is quite long, but I am going to highlight the parts that are things about Monsanto that I had not previously known.

Monsanto has a long history in our country and it is not a good history.  Monsanto's corporate Karma is burnt and it is time to take this corporation out..so what does this have to do with Hillary Clinton's run..??

Monsanto has not yet quite gotten total control of the food supply.  This effort began in the 1980's.  Monsanto now has over 600 patents on genetically modified plants..let's take a closer look at the connections between Monsanto and the Clintons..

more over the jump..

Let us take a closer look at Mickey Kantor

Sun May 04, 2008 at 07:31:36 PM PDT

Mickey Kantor needs a closer look at and the media is not providing the voters with one..especially the farmers in Indiana and North Carolina.  He was Bill Clinton's US trade representative and then became the Secretary of Commerce after Ron Brown died.  After leaving his position in government, Mickey Kantor became a Director on the board of Monsanto.
Monsanto makes the hormones rBST and rGBH that is injected into cows to increase their milk yield.  They are artificial growth hormones.    Monsanto created Agent Orange.  Monsanto created Roundup and created genetically modified seeds that include Roundup .. called Roundup Ready seeds.  Farmers are now required to buy seed every year because Monsanto has patents on seeds that have been genetically modified ..  Donald Rumsfeld was the CEO of G.D. Searle pharmeceutical company when Monsanto buought Searle in 1985.  Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas was inhouse counsel at Monsanto..

Google Hillary Clinton outsourcing

Thu Apr 24, 2008 at 08:22:51 AM PDT

See what pops up..lets have a look at articles that show how Hillary Clinton is a huge proponent of outsourcing and Free Trade (translates to: losing your job).

http://www.atimes.com/...

This is an interesting article from South Asia on Hillary's 2005 trip to India.  At that time, you can see that the article speculates on her run for the presidency.  I suggest that the globalization plans have not been perfected yet, and perhaps this is one of the reasons why the globalists are so frantic to get her nominated and in the office of the president.

Here is a pdf on her and Bill's investments in India..very interesting if you want factual details..

Hillary is out of money and in serious debt

Wed Apr 23, 2008 at 09:17:01 AM PDT

Last night after watching the results with my friend, we saw Hillary giving out her website to plead with people to send her $5.00.  She sounded like she was begging for $5.00.  She is broke and she is in debt and she is in need of money.  Her fat cats are tapped out..they have given the maximum amount of money allowable under the law.

Hillary claims that she has a broad coalition of supporters... if that were true, she would not be out of money and in serious debt.

When people make contributions to candidates, they make them because they believe in the candidate.   Not enough people believe in Hillary.

Obama is ahead in states won, pledged delegates and the popular vote.  He also has money..lots of it..  People donate to Obama because they believe in him.

Barack Obama's Department of Justice

Mon Apr 21, 2008 at 07:19:12 AM PDT

Perhaps there is no more critical issue that affects the people of this country than the rule of law.  We have seen an administration rewrite laws themselves through memos and signing statements to suit their desired whims..Committing Fraud on the Congress, Engaging in Propagands, Engaging in a War of Aggression, Enhanced Interrogation, Torture, Water Boarding, violations of human rights laws, violations of the Geneva Conventions, Kidnapping innocent citizens, unlawful detention, depriving prisoners of the rights to legal counsel and the courts, illegal wiretapping, conspiring with publicly traded corporations to spy on the citizens of this country, engaging in economic warfare against the people of the United States of America and others....ALL OF THIS IS REPUGNENT TO OUR CONSTITUTION AND THE RULE OF LAW IN OUR COUNTRY AND IN INTERNATIONAL LAW.

Barack Obama stated recently that he would have his Department of Justice review and determine if laws have been violated by the Bush Administration and to take action where necessary.  Hillary Clinton has made no such promise as far as I can see.  In fact, her silence on the subject leads me to believe that she is running and attempting to destroy Obama's candidacy to prevent such an inquiry from taking place..more after the jump..

Time to treat Hillary as a nonperson

Tue Mar 25, 2008 at 06:04:00 PM PDT

I am done with Hillary.  I can't stand her conduct in this campaign.  I had been neutral about her last year, thinking that perhaps the people who wanted her to run really wanted Bill back to correct the disaster George W. Bush has made of our country and our position in the world.

Bill has been a huge disappointment.  I don't recognize him anymore.  This is not the same man who was the president that I defended in the 1990's from criticism.  Who inspired MoveOn.org..who played the saxaphone and seemed to be so comfortable and intelligent and thoughtful..That Bill is gone and in his place is someone I don't know anymore..

I have had it with Hillary .. from now on .. I am going to make a concerted effort to never read about her, discuss her, concern myself with her, think about her, care about her, regard her, have happy thoughts about her or forgive her for what she is doing to the Democratic Party and Barack Obama.

Happy Easter everyone

Sun Mar 23, 2008 at 12:13:21 PM PDT

Here is a wonderful music video for you from the YouTubes..

Barack Obama-sistible!

Enjoy this video.

One thing about Barack Obama's candidacy that has been so delightful has been the never ending YouTube videos created by people who support him and who create wonderful expressions of support for his candidacy.  This video is another such example.

I don't see many of these types of videos coming from supporters of McCain or Clinton.  The one Clinton video was so cheesey it reminded people of that old 70's group..Up With America..John McCain doesn't seem to have any creative constituents who have the energy or desire to make a positive video about him..  Obama's video supporters are producing these videos from their hearts..and that is the difference..Obama is touching people when he speaks from his heart and he is abundantly repaid with videos such as this one..

Enjoy it.  Pass it along to family and friends..Keep the faith .. and Happy Easter.

Pat Robertson called for the Assassination of Hugo Chavez not too long ago....

Fri Mar 14, 2008 at 09:11:29 PM PDT

Remember this:

Who could forget those remarks from Pat Robertson.  Pat Robertson's father was a United States Senator.

http://www.sourcewatch.org/...

In 1981, The Council for National Policy was established by Richard Viguery, Paul Weyrich, Richard DeVos and others on the hard right.  Eventually, members of the Council for National Policy would include members like Hunt Oil heirs, the Coors Beer folks, Amway, Richard Cheney, Reverend Sun Myung Moon, Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson.

Here is what a membership list of the Council for National Policy looks like

Al Gore needs to step in now and endorse

Fri Mar 07, 2008 at 08:13:51 AM PDT

Barack Obama.  Hillary can't win.  The delegates are not with her.  The Super Delegates are moving towards Obama.  The Most Super of the Super Delegates must step in now and endorse Obama.  AL GORE..PLEASE ... STEP UP TO THE PLATE AND ENDORSE OBAMA.

Hillary is out to destroy Obama's chances to become the president of the United States of America.

We can't afford to have McCain as a president..we don't have time.. the planet does not have the time to afford a McCain presidency...we don't have the luxury of having a candidate like Hillary to pussyfoot around with the will of the people because of her ego.  She has to go.

Is it time to start unloading on McCain?

Wed Mar 05, 2008 at 01:18:15 PM PDT

John McCain has a long and curious career in Washington, DC.  He was a member of the Keating Five..five United States Senators who interfered with the ongoing regulation of Charles Keating's Thrift, Lincoln Savings and Loan which ultimately went belly up along with hundreds of other thrifts during the Savings and Loan debacle in the 1980's.

http://www.dailykos.com/...

The following diary is a wonderful piece about McCain's infamous father in law who was a beer distributor in Arizona with Mob connections.

 http://www.dailykos.com/...

Is it time to start to post these diaries on a daily basis...just to remind people of how vulnerable John McCain is?
