Letter to my Right...#1

...Right Wing Family and Friends

Tonight was the last straw. My dad sent me yet another e-mail whose intent is to vilify some group (usually Liberals) or generally mislead his audience of friends, family and collegues into believing some aspect of the now bankrupt Right Wing Machine. I understand that these are desperate times for his species and that he truly doesnt mean to do harm. I want to believe that his heart is in the right place...after all he raised me. I've got to tell you though, that I am just about tired of it. So I have decided to answer him and my other right wing friends directly and with all of the logic and insight my wee liberal brain can muster...and then Ill post the conversation for you all to see. This way I may pass along the same courage and confidence to speak my mind that I gain by reading your posts on KOS. I will try to be polite but I am not promising anything...

This installment deals with a silly e-mail that is making the rounds and even has made its way to the occasional media outlet. Stop me below the fold if you have heard this one before...

The BUSH Recession

Sat Sep 15, 2007 at 10:06:55 AM PDT

It occurred to me this morning, while lucidly dreaming about the impending economic disaster this  administration has so graciously gifted us, that the coming recession should be labeled "THE BUSH RECESSION".

The coming recession is not a "housing recession". It is not a "war recession". This coming juggernaut can be traced back directly to the actions and policies of one Jackass. That Jackass deserves to have what will amount to the worst recession in 50 years and quite possibly the worst in a century (Yes that's right, I am talking BUSH DEPRESSION) hanging around his neck for eternity.

Are we really heading for a recession?
Is it really going to be that bad?
Can we really blame one man?
Why not call it "The Neo-con recession"

For the answers to these questions and more...follow me beneath the fold (this is my first diary and I have wanted to write that for a long time).
